A new public art box for the Agniesebuurt, Inspired by de Aanschouw. Van Agniese hangs on a fence beside the Doe-Het-Zelf Werkplaasts in Schout Heynricplein on display at all times from the street, displaying artwork made by residents of Agniesebuurt.

The exhibitions rotate monthly; the artists being chosen by nominated curators who help find residents that are otherwise not presenting artwork professionally but would like to share something with the neighborhood. The first show opened on Sept 3, curated by Tazem Allahi with work from the womens handiwerk group that meets weekly to knit, weave, crochet or paint.

Van Agniese is run as a collective, consisting of neighbors and members from the dhz werkplaats. The collective is open for more neighbors to join and all jobs rotate to keep influence and direction dispersed and shared. Artists and curators are also paid a small thank you fee.
